Social Justice Committee
The Social Justice club aims to draw in all members of the community (in and outside of the school) that care about solving problems with social inequality that we face on a daily basis. It aims to empower students to become caring and responsible critical thinkers in a global community. Each Year Group from KS2 has elected two members who are interested in the many different issues of social justice. With our initiatives, we hope to engage many members of the school community, including students, teachers, administrators and other staff members.
Each month the group meet to discuss local, national and global issues that are important to them and where they recognise injustice in the world. But they do so much more than just talk. They act. From a project which supported the local food bank to recieve the goods they really needed, to helping residents of a local care home feel connected with their community to reducing and recycling food waste from school dinners the pupils have shown how their small actions can really " inspire us to create abetter world."
