Wider Opps, Orchestra and Steel Pans
Pupils and staff alike love Music at Holmer. We are fortunate enough to take part in the Wider Opps programme which enables all of our KS2 pupils to learn an instrument each year. So far tin whistles, ukuleles, cornets, flutes, clarinets and violins have been heard snaking their way through our corridors! Never ones to shy away, our staff are also keen to learn with the pupils.
In addition to Wider Opps, we work alongside Encore to be able to offer pupils individual or group instrument tuition and also have a very active choir.
Finally, we are also fortunate enough to work alongside Mr. Nick Jones to host Pyramid Orchestra which gives some of our musicians the opportunity to learn to play and perform alongside others.

Steel Pans
