Pupil Council
At Holmer Academy, pupils in each class put themselves forward to stand for pupil councillor. They stood up and told their peers why they would be good at this role and why they should be chosen to represent their class. Their class peers then voted for who they thought would be the best at representing their class.
Our school council meet monthly to discuss important issues raised by pupils. One representative from each class in years 1 - 6 sits on the council. Their role is to ensure that everyone's voice is heard and to work together to affect positive change within our school. They are the voice of the children.
Projects for 2023:
This year pupils have decided that they would like to freshen up the fence panels along the back of the playground. They plan to use them as a canvas for our values. Designs have been submitted and pupils now can't wait to get started. We look forward to sharing the finished result with you!
In addition to this, they have been working alongside Eco-Committee and hope to create a vegetable patch on which they can grow fresh produce to be eaten in school. What a great idea! Keep up the good work everyone!
