Friday 21st October saw our pupils participating in what will hopefully be the first of many Holmer Maths Challenge Days.
Warming up consisted of Maths Olympics whereby pupils had to overcome various Maths station obstacles. All the while teachers were keeping a look out for key learning attributes - including Maths talk and reasoning skills - for our Gold Award winners. After this, children worked in mixed year group teams using their maths skills to try to solve various mathematical problems. Results were tallied, scores have been submitted and we can now reveal that our very first trophy has been awarded to...Team ‘K’ from Years 5 and 6. Well done to all pupils, particularly our Gold Award winners. It was wonderful to see such buzz about Maths!
