I moved from Scotland to Hereford over 30 years ago on a short term contract. I was most impressed with the opportunities Herefordshire and the borders had to offer so chose to stay.
Since then I met and married my wife and together we have three daughters who are now going through University all over the country. I like to make the most of what Hereford has to offer with Kayak racing (though not so competitive now), cycling and motorcycling amongst my interests.I have been working with schools for the past fifteen years. Formerly with the local authority, now as an independent advisor for the last ten years. I joined the Board of Governors in 2013 and have seen a number of significant changes take place over that time. Though there are a lot of challenges being introduced, I am most impressed by the child centred focus at Holmer.
